Float Truck Driver Job#JCL081
JCL Investments is currently accepting applications for float drivers. The candidates must ensure timely delivery of equipment, aggregates, and construction materials to our various construction sites throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. These positions will be based out of our Corner Brook, NL.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate truck and trailer in a safe and productive manner.
• Load and secure cargo
• Demonstrate a commitment to personal safety and the safety of others by following all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain/clean equipment, conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required.
• Report all necessary repairs to Mechanical Supervisor.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post trip inspections and daily logs.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years’ driving experience in a commercial or construction industry with preference given to candidates with float experience.
• Efficient problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Must possess a valid class 1 driver's license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Must possess valid Power Line hazards certificate.
• Must demonstrate a willingness to learn a variety of job-related tasks
