Asphalt Paver Operator - Competition #JCL086
JCL is a leading construction and infrastructure company dedicated to delivering high-quality paving and road construction services. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Asphalt Paver Operator to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
As a Paver Operator, you will be responsible for operating the asphalt paving machine to apply asphalt to road surfaces and parking lots. You will ensure the paving process is executed efficiently, accurately, and safely, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate the asphalt paver to apply asphalt material to roadways and parking lots.
• Adjust the machine settings to control the thickness and width of the asphalt layer.
• Monitor the machine’s operation and make adjustments as necessary to ensure a smooth and even surface.
• Coordinate with the paving crew, truck drivers, and other equipment operators to ensure efficient workflow.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the paver to ensure it is in good working condition. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with the paver to prevent delays.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license with Class 8 endorsement.
• Previous experience operating an asphalt paver or similar equipment in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of asphalt paving processes and materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
