Automotive Service Technician - Competition #JCL089
JCL is currently accepting resumes for an Automotive Service Technician for work at our shop in Corner Brook, NL. The Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles and will be instrumental in ensuring our fleet operates efficiently to meet the demands of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles and heavy construction equipment (diesel and gas engines).
• Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, brake inspections, fluid checks, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and inventory of parts.
• Collaborate with operations teams to prioritize and schedule equipment for repairs and servicing.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Automotive Service Technician trade certification, Journey Person, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
