Job Description

JCL is currently accepting resumes for detail-oriented and organized Parts Technician for work at our shop in Corner Brook. This role is responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving, and managing parts inventory for heavy equipment. The ideal candidate understands the urgency of construction operations and can ensure parts are available when and where they’re needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Source and procure parts for heavy equipment and trucks
• Maintain and manage inventory levels, including ordering and stock control
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts and materials
• Track and document parts usage, costs, and inventory movement
• Work closely with mechanics, supervisors, and vendors to ensure timely repairs
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options
• Maintain accurate records in inventory and procurement systems
• Ensure shop and warehouse areas are clean, organized, and safe
• Assist with warranty claims and returns where applicable

Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience as a Parts Technician, preferably in heavy equipment, construction, or automotive/truck industry
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment components and parts systems
• Experience with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license (required)
