Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our team at our main office in Corner Brook. In this role, you will report directly to the Corporate HSE Manager and work closely with both the HSE Manager and site teams to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs across various construction projects.
Responsibilities
• Assist the HSE Manager in developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and programs
• Support project teams in ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Conduct hazard assessments, site inspections, and safety audits as needed
• Participate in incident investigations and help implement corrective actions
• Provide guidance and support to field teams on safe work practices
• Assist with training and orientation programs for employees and contractors
• Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and trends
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across multiple projects
• Perform other related duties that correspond to the overall function of this position
Qualifications
• 5–7 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role
• Experience in the construction industry; heavy civil construction experience is a strong asset
• Strong knowledge of applicable HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with both office and field teams
• Relevant HSE certifications or education (e.g., Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or similar) considered an asset
• Valid driver's license and clean driver’s abstract.
