This project involved design, supply, and installation of a new 120’ modular bridge at the Victoria River located along the site access road. Scope included assessment of existing bridge and foundations, following this review it was determined that the existing bridge could not be repaired to meet CL625 road standards. Once this was determined, JCL engaged engineering firms to provide new foundation and bridge design allowing complete replacement of the existing bridge. The existing bridge was removed using a tandem crane lift, and the new bridge was installed using a launching nose.
The Aspen Brook Bridge project in Central Region, NL involved the demolition of the existing structure, installation of unwatering systems, and the design and implementation of precast concrete elements. Additionally, the scope included grading and paving Route 1, removal of the old bridge, and maintenance of the Aspen Brook Bridge Diversion. The project aimed at upgrading infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and ensuring long-term durability for Aspen Brook Bridge in a comprehensive and efficient manner.
Replacement of The Southeast Brook Bridge in Gros Mourne National Park involved a paved temporary bypass consisting of a 140' clear span panel bridge. The filly-integral designed replacement structure includes piled foundations for a 39m clear span New England Bulb Tee (NEBT 1800) concrete girder superstructure with concrete abutments and deck.
