This project involves clearing right of way and constructing access for a 60m wide corridor approximately 250 kms long on the Great Northern Peninsula in Newfoundland. Over 1160 hectares of land area will be cleared, approximately 200 kms of access road built, and approximately 80 bridge crossings constructed.
Clearing the reservoir for the Muskrat Falls (lower Churchill) hydro development project. As the prime contractor for this project JCL is undertaking the complete planning and execution of the work. The reservoir area encompasses approximately 1,800 hectares of forested ground on both the North and South shores of the Churchill River.
