Upgrading of the TLH

This project involved the widening on Trans Labrador Highway in the Port Hope Simpson area. JCL had to supply and place 80,000 tonnes of Maintenance Grade No. 1 stone.

Phase 3 of the TLH

Over various contracts, this project involved the construction of approximately 237 kms of rural collector highway connecting the South Coast of Labrador with Happy Valley Goose Bay. In addition to road bed construction there were Four Bridges: Kenamu River, Otter Brook, Travespine River, and Travespine Tributary. Three of the bridges were entirely reinforced concrete, and the Kenamu River Bridge was a steel pony truss configuration on concrete foundations.

Phase 1 of the TLH

Over various contracts, this project involved the upgrading of approximately 313 kms of rural collector highway (Route 500) at various places between Wabush and Happy Valley Goose Bay in Labrador, NL. The work generally involved road widening and upgrading of horizontal and vertical road alignments to support the higher design standard RCU80.
